Now added: Reprint Editions Art Sales Catalogues 1880-1900
IDC Publishers is pleased to announce that reprint editions of art sales catalogues from 1880-1900 can now also be ordered through the websites Art Sales Catalogues online and Lugt's Répertoire online. This makes it possible to order reprint editions of all catalogues available on microfiche from the period 1600-1900.

Reprint editions are ideal for researchers interested in just one or a small number of catalogues and for libraries wishing to fill gaps in their collection.

New information added to Lugt's Répertoire online
IDC Publishers is pleased to announce that microfiche information has been added to another 4,165 Lugt records. In addition, IDC has added 86 records to the database that were not listed in the printed edition of Lugt's Répertoire. The microfiche editions of these records can now also be ordered online.

Welcome to the online edition of the Répertoire des Catalogues de Ventes Publiques by Frits Lugt. Lugt's Répertoire is one of the most widely consulted art historical reference works and lists more than 100,000 art sales catalogues of the period 1600 to 1925 from libraries in Europe and the USA.

Art Sales Catalogues are valuable sources of information on the provenance of art objects, the history of collecting, and historical market trends.

The online edition
This online edition of Lugt's Répertoire increases the value of the rare original work as it provides a multitude of search options. Many recently discovered catalogues have been added and corrections to the original work have been made. The database can be consulted both in French and in English.

Search options
Frits Lugt's Répertoire online can be searched on Lugt number, date, place, provenance, auction house and existing copies. An extra feature is the libraries database. This gives the opportunity to search through libraries with holdings of art sales catalogues.

Subscription
Subscription to Lugt's Répertoire online is possible from this page, by clicking the button 'request for connection'. The IDC microfiche copies of the art sales catalogues can be ordered directly through this website.
